Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Nightfall, Challenges, and Rewards

Updated July 27, 2021: With the final week of July finally here, fans continue to focus their gaze towards August 24 and the long awaited Witch Queen expansion reveal. Fueling the anticipation for many was the potential leak of Savathun's actual form as well as the strange looking Ghost-like object hovering near her. Fans are hopeful that answers aren't too far away, or potentially this new looking Ghost is something players may be something earnable in the future as well.

Alongside the Witch Queen excitement, Bungie has continued to slowly reveal upcoming changes happening in Season 15. In addition to new balance changes and the Vanguard token overhaul, the transmog system known as Armor Synthesis is also getting a big change thanks to player feedback. The consumable known as Synthstrand is being removed entirely, cutting out a step from the already lengthy process and allowing players to purchase bounties from Ada-1 for 10,000 glimmer instead.

With the Tuesday reset now here, a new week of content has begun in Destiny 2 bringing with it fresh content and rewards to earn over the next seven days. For the complete look at all of the new content available for the week of July 27 including, Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, here is everything players need to know.

Nightfall Strike The Ordeal: The Disgraced

Adept Modifiers:

Fire Pit: When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time.

Hero Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Champions: Unstoppable and Barrier
Champions: Hive
Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields
Navôta's Abandon: Incoming Arc and environmental damage increased.

Legend Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Equipment Locked: Unable to change equipment once the mission starts.
Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage.
Legend Modifiers: Locked Loadout, Match Game, and Extra Shields.

Master Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Chaff: Radar is disabled.
Master Modifiers: Champions: Mob, Locked Loadout, Match Game, and Extra Shields.
Champions: Mob: This difficulty adds more champion enemies.

Grandmaster Nightfall Details:

Players will need to be at least 1335 to begin this mission. In addition, the weekly weapon (listed below) can drop as an adapt version upon completion.

Rewards:

It's a special week for Nightfall missions as players can earn double the loot. Better yet, all weapons are available this week including Palindrome, The Swarm, and Shadow Price.

Powerful (Tier 1) Reward: Earn 3 points for completing runs with higher difficulties granting additional points.
Pinnacle Reward: Get a 100K score to earn a pinnacle reward.
The Nightfall exclusive weapon this week is: everything!

Vanguard Strikes: Complete 3 strikes in the playlist.

Elemental Modifier: Arc Singe

Bungie continues to release a new challenge in order every week which award a second pinnacle drop for players who successfully complete it. The Raid Challenge this week is called "Only one oracle for you." Check back soon for a complete guide on this challenge.

This week also brings another chance at the Master difficulty modifier for those who may not have had a chance when it was introduced. Naturally, this difficulty offers players a bigger challenge and potentially bigger rewards. Enemies will be at 1350 power and completing it will earn the final triumphs needed for the Fatebreaker raid Seal and title. Players can also earn special Timelost weapons, which feature additional perks in columns three and four offering even more levels of customization compared to regular and Adept weapons.

This week on Europa, players can participate in the Simulation: Survival mission for the Exo Challenge. Players will need survive against an ongoing wave to Vex enemies and the harsh weather.

Empire Hunt: Kridis, the Dark Priestess

As of now, the weekly challenges for Season of the Splicer have come to an end. Bungie has slowed down the content as the season enters the back half to allow those who are behind or perhaps just not jumping in, have a chance to catch up and experience everything that happened so far.

Complete Crucible Matches – Finish 3 total Crucible matches.

Weekly Crucible Playlist – Showdown

Gambit – Complete 3 Gambit matches.

Trove Guardian is located in the Archer's Line, while the Wandering Nightmare is Fallen Council. This Nightmare can also be found in at Archer's Line.

For Nightmare Hunts, players can take on Isolation, Pride, and Servitude.

The Dreaming City is in a Weak Curse level this week, which means Petra Venj can be found at The Strand. She's offering Broken Courier mission for the next week. The Blind Well features Scorn and the plagues, Sikariis & Varkuuriis.

Finally, the Ascendant Challenge is Forfeit Shrine at the Gardens of Esila.
