If you’re a household with a lot of Apple or Android devices, chances are that you have all kinds of cables to recharge them. The Eggtronic Power Bar is an all-in-one wireless charger that eliminates some of the clutter when you’re away from home.
As a wireless device, the charging station can be conveniently brought with you wherever you need a power bank. It will fit comfortably in a laptop bag or luggage. If you’re desperate for portability, it should even fit in an oversized pocket in a pair of cargo shorts or a baggy winter coat.
What’s included?
The device comes with two wireless Qi charging spots, a pop-up charging spot for an Apple Watch, and a 30-watt USB-C charging port. It includes a three-foot USB-C to USB-C cable, a three-foot USB-C to Lightning cable, and a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
The good
The two wireless Qi charging spots can be used for Qi-compatible iPhones or Androids. Meanwhile, the USB-C wired charger on the side of the device can be used to quickly charge a MacBook, iPad, or iPhone. Eggtronic also has affordable adapters for other laptops that would make them compatible with this device. However, I have not tested it.
In terms of practical applications, I can imagine that this would be a good option for charging your iPhone or laptop on a short camping trip or anywhere lacking a power outlet. Also, once you do have access to a power outlet, recharging the Power Bar is relatively fast.
The bad
If there’s a downside to the Eggtronic Power Bar, it’s that it feels a little cheap – and at $150, it’s not cheap at all. Also, the power capacity is rather limited. Once you recharge a MacBook, you’ll basically have drained the Power Bar. So it’s good as a secondary backup or for a quick recharge, but it’s not going to juice a ton of devices to max capacity without needing to be recharged itself.
How much is it?
The Eggtronic Power Bar is available for $149.
Where can I buy it?
It’s sold through the company’s website: eggtronic.com.
Conclusion
The Eggtronic Power Bar is a convenient wireless power bank with a few flaws. The 10,000 mAh capacity feels stingy for the price. The build also feels slightly cheap at $150. But, overall, it’s a good option for Apple and Android users who need a portable Qi or USB-C charging solution.
