Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell roguelike game that comes from Dodge Roll Games and Devolver Digital. In it, players can choose between four different characters with unique skills and then head into the dangerous dungeon below to see how far they can get without dying. Each time players die, they are taken back to the main hub area and will have to start the dungeon over from scratch, losing all of their precious guns and other items.
Being that Enter the Gungeon is a challenging game, players might be wondering if they can bring a friend to help them out on their bullet-hell adventure.

Enter the Gungeon players will be happy to know that the game does indeed support co-op multiplayer, but it can only be done locally, and it's only meant for up to players at a time. While there are four playable characters to pick from, only one of the characters can be chosen by the lead player, and the second person gets to control a fifth character known as The Cultist.
To have a second player join in on the fun, they need to connect a second controller to the console of choice. The lead player should now head to the hub area where the four characters are at. To the right of these characters is the Cultist, who is wearing a purple robe. Speak to them, and they will ask the player if they want to begin co-op mode. Enter the Gungeon players should select "yes," and then the second player will be able to control the Cultist and help the other player defeat the dungeon bosses.
If one of the players dies during a run, the other player will be able to bring the dead player back to life by finding them inside of a chest. Players can also use Enter the Gungeon's heart item that the Cultist starts with to bring them back to life, but this can only be used once.
Once players get a second person to help them out in Enter the Gungeon, they should have less trouble getting through the tough enemies that await them.
Enter the Gungeon is currently available for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
