Every Video Game Release Coming Soon For Xbox Series X|S And Xbox One

There is a lot of gaming still to be done in 2021, and Microsoft's Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One both have full months ahead of them. So far in the year, Xbox owners have experienced Hitman 3, Resident Evil Village, Subnautica: Below Zero, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, just to name a handful of games. In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass has continued to go from strength to strength.

Regardless of whether someone's console of choice is an Xbox Series X/S or an Xbox One, they have plenty of new releases to look forward to. What Xbox Series X games are set to drop in 2021 and beyond? What upcoming games justify keeping the Xbox One around?

Disclaimer: Please note the focus is on the North American release dates of Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One games.

Updated July 27, 2021: The Xbox Series X/S still has a long way to go before it peaks, but the console's library is beginning to take shape. With each passing day, new games are announced for both the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Here are the titles that were added to the scheduler over the last week: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, GRID Legends, Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality, The Plane Effect, Recompile, Hindsight 20/20: Wrath of the Raakshasa, Tetragon, Lamentum, Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, Alfonzo's Arctic Adventure, HORROR TALES: The Wine, Goroons, IIN, Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris, Maneater: Truth Quest.

Although not boasting especially huge AAA titles, July 2021 should satisfy niche audiences. F1 2021 and Samurai Warriors 5 will certainly attract dedicated fanbases, while Microsoft Flight Simulator is a console-seller for plenty of people and only exists due to the power of the Xbox Series X/S. A Plague Tale: Innocence made its Xbox Series X/S debut, while RPG fans should keep an eye out for Cris Tales. Lastly, The Ascent will be instantly available on Xbox Game Pass.

Although details are still scarce, it should be interesting to see how Rockstar takes advantage of the new console's superior hardware. Forza Horizon 5 will be heading to Mexico, as Playground Games looks to continue the series' brilliant run of games. The year also won't feel complete with Ubisoft releasing a new Just Dance game.

With the shopping season in full swing, players will need to know exactly what is on offer in December. What games could make great gifts for the holiday season? Techland's Dying Light 2: Stay Human will certainly be a contender for the month's most talked-about release. The snowboarding game Shredders is also expected to drop in December, while Halo Infinite's Holiday season release also heavily implies it could be released this month.

Once this month is done, everyone will look back at the previous year to determine the best Xbox Series X/S games of 2021. Will it be Psychonauts 2? Forza Horizon 5? Or, maybe a title that has to be confirmed for 2021?

Rather than repeatedly delaying a game, many studios have taken to announcing a release year and then specifying a date later down the line.
