Farm And Find Vultures, Feathers – Red Dead Online

Quick Links

If you're still playing Red Dead Online, then I can only assume that you've been faithfully completing Daily and Weekly challenges in order to get as much money and renown as possible in the Wild West. Sometimes, that's all you can do, and that's what we're here to help you with today.

Just one of the many Daily Challenges that Red Dead Online throws you way is hunting Vultures, pesky vermin that fly the skies and pick apart roadkill – or, in the case of the desert where there aren't really any defined roads, just any creature that's about to keel over from dehydration, I suppose.

In this guide we'll be narrowing down where you can find a few Vultures, and you will also be able to easily find Vulture Feathers, in case that's what you're hunting them down for – I don't judge, you're allowed to do whatever you want, to be honest. Just read down below for everything you need to know to hunt a few vultures in Red Dead Online. Images are courtesy of Dirty Tyler. Be aware that Vultures only usually spawn during the day, so taking the route below at night will probably leave you disappointed.

Where To Find Vultures In Red Dead Online

Vultures are fairly well hidden in Red Dead Online, but they will often be found lurking atop posts in the streets – though if you get too close, they'll start flying away, making them far tougher to shoot at. No matter though, as we'll give you the locations you need upfront, and the first one is close to the centre of all the action in the game, Armadillo. A Vulture can be found sitting on a signpost on the road leading into Armadillo, to the East of the town. A nice and easy one to start with.

Now, from that signpost, you can take the trail leading towards the North. Follow it and you will eventually see The Hanging Rock to the left of the path, and this rock will have two Vultures sitting on top of it. Make sure to shoot them down before they fly too far away.

From The Hanging Rock, follow the trail which leads to the West, and then as you ride down this path alongside the railroad, you will eventually find a Vulture sitting on one of the many wooden posts up and down the side of the rails. This route is a nice way to find four Vultures quite easily.

What To Do If You Need Vulture Feathers

Now, Vulture Feathers are a little bit trickier to get – but not by much. Essentially you should follow the route outlined above in order to find the Vultures, but you can't shoot them while they're out of reach.

If you shoot a vulture sitting atop The Hanging Rock, you can't get a feather from it unless you climb the rock. Not ideal. Instead, what you should do is scare the vulture, and let it fly just a little bit. Once it flies over clear ground, shoot it, and then you'll be able to collect the feather from wherever it lands.
