Final Fantasy 14’s Make It Rain Campaign Returns

Final Fantasy 14's 6th annual Make It Rain Campaign will run from July 19th through August 11th. Taking part in the in-game festivities means you'll be able to net 50% more Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP) than normal, while several prizes found throughout the Gold Saucer will receive massive discounts.

The Great Horn Heist, the questline tied to this event that's available for all players level 15 and above, will offer a couple of unique rewards. They include the Vexed emote, which draws squiggly lines above your head for whenever the time comes for you to look baffled, and an MGP Bronze card which immediately adds 5000 MGP to your Gold Saucer account.

What sets the Make It Rain Campaign apart from most other seasonal events in Final Fantasy 14 is that it's not related to any real-world events like Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine's Day. The focus is purely on the Gold Saucer, an in-game casino rife with Chocobo Racing and Triple Triad matches. It's an excuse to play fun minigames with your friends and earn points to cash-in for cosmetic items like hairstyles, mounts, costumes, and furnishings for housing.

Some of the items up for grabs at a reduced MGP cost include The Crystal Tower striker, Monster Toss machine, and the Cuff-a-Curr machine furnishings. These items usually require a hefty time investment to grind for since activities that hand out MGP can be pretty stingy. So if you've been eyeing a particular reward but are a bit light on cash, Make It Rain is the event for you.

With Final Fantasy 14 getting a whole slew of new players right now, this year's Make It Rain Campaign is coming along at just the right time. The Gold Saucer can be a bit overwhelming if you're not familiar with Triple Triad or any of the other gambling minigames, so having a bit of guidance in the form of a questline is a wonderful introduction.
