Genshin Impact Glitch Removes Fog, Revealing Its Entire Map

Genshin Impact's massive open world, Teyvat, is usually hidden under layers of fog making it impossible to look out over the entire world. However, thanks to one Redditor, we can finally see what Teyvat looks like if skies were clearer – and it's gorgeous.

Teyvat isn't really revealed to us in its entirety from an eagle's eye view, but we know the world is massive. Right now, Travelers only have access to Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, but we know there's far more to it than what Mihoyo has shared so far. Eventually, there will be seven total, but even with what we've got so far, Teyvat looks massive from high up.

And climbing up into a soaring pillar is just what one Redditor did, too. Able_Importance1964 shared a video from when their game glitched, removing those thick fog textures that usually hide everything while you glide through the air in Genshin Impact. You can see all three countries underneath and stretching out in front of their Jean. Liyue, in particular, looks incredible with the sun setting on the horizon.

It's a bit of a shame Mihoyo doesn't make more use of that in-game camera and provide something similar without a glitch. Teyvat's sprawling mountains, oceans, cities, and towns make for the perfect screenshots. Folks were quick to ask how the player wound up in the sky, hoping to replicate the glitch, but for now, it still seems like it's a mystery.

The glitch is nice to admire, but if you're keener on pursuing Genshin Impact endeavors that are a little easier and officially supported, Mihoyo is keeping busy. Just last week, Inazuma's adorable pyrotechnician, Yoimiya, saw her banner go live. The five-star hero follows the release of Ayaka, who launched alongside the new region. And while Kazuha is long gone from the current banner, you can still grab a special live wallpaper celebrating the warrior whose family hails from Inazuma, too.
