The remaster of GTA 3 is old school enough to still have cheats in it, so if you want free money or tanks this is how you get it.
Not long before Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition launched, Rockstar Games admitted that not every cheat code from the original releases of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas would be brought back.
The lack of certain cheats became another point of contention for the games, alongside the remastered graphics, missing music tracks, and several visual bugs. But, judging by how many cheats are still in the games, it doesn’t look like that there’s really that much to complain about.
Since not everyone who has picked up the trilogy is aware of how to activate these cheats, here’s a comprehensive list of all the ones in GTA 3 (at least the ones we know actually work) and their respective codes for each platform.
Before you get trigger-happy with the cheats, it’s important to remember that activating them will lock you out of obtaining certain Trophies and Achievements. So, unless you really don’t care, make sure you save your progress so you can reload it after messing about with the cheats.
Activating them is universal across all platforms. Just enter the corresponding code as quickly as possible during regular gameplay and a notification should appear to let you know if it worked.
