Hack GU Last Recode Receives ESRB Rating For Nintendo Switch

It looks like the .hack//G.U.2017 trilogy remaster may find another home, aside from the PlayStation 4 and PC. In a new update to the ESRB website, it looks like .hack//G.U. Last Recode has received another rating of T for Teen, but this time it's on the Nintendo Switch.

If you missed Last Recode the first time around, it's a remastered collection of the original three GU titles on PS2- Rebirth, Reminisce, and Redemption. The PS4 and PC additions brought modern upgrades to a series well over a decade old now, including improved graphics that ran at 1080p and 60fps.

This latest certification from the ESRB for Last Recode slaps the same old Teen rating on it for the same warnings: alcohol references, fantasy violence, mild blood, mild language, and suggestive themes. Bando Namco hasn't actually acknowledged the new rating, but since Recode for Nintendo Switch has made it as far as snagging an ESRB rating, it's probably okay to start getting your hopes up.

Even though we may not have solid news on what's going on with Last Recode, Bandai Namco is still staying busy. The publisher recently launched Scarlet Nexus back in June, which our very own Jade King reviewed and found its visual aesthetics to be "striking and memorable." Tales of Arise, the next big RPG Bandai Namco will launch, is also shaping up, having just shared the game's opening animation earlier this month.
