It’s not common to combine monster-slaying with romance, but that’s the main aspect of Boyfriend Dungeon. When you’re not plunging the depths of the modern-day dungeons, you’re hanging out in Verona Beach. You’ll spend a lot of time in your apartment, but you can answer your phone anywhere and it’s the only way of contacting the various weapon people you’re bound to meet.

One of the first you’ll encounter is Valeria, a passionate artist who takes the form of a dagger. After an unusual first meeting, Valeria will eventually reach out to you for a proper meeting that will start you down her relationship route.
How To Meet Her
Valeria can be found on the first floors of the Mall dungeon. It’s possible to meet her during your training session with Isaac. Shortly after meeting Sunder, you’ll enter a room where a huge mass of enemies will ambush you.
Though they look overwhelming, it is possible to beat them and the wave that follows. Once you do, keep going and you’ll encounter Valeria. She’ll express confusion and distrust but will leave saying that she’ll contact you later.
Choosing Platonic Or Romantic
It’s possible to reach max Love Level with all of the weapon people, but it can be as romantic partners or as friends. Each one, including Valeria, will initiate a dialogue to determine what kind of relationship you’re interested in.
Your response decides the path you take and you’ll still be able to spend time with them no matter which one you choose. In Valeria’s case, there’s a moment where she’ll speak frankly and you’ll have the option to tell her you just want to stay friends or pursue something romantic.
Valeria’s Values
Valeria is a street artist who has a lot of energy and passion for what she does. Although she seems like an outgoing and fun person, she’s also very protective of her past. As such, one of the things she values most is honesty. Whenever she asks you a question about something that has occurred, be sure to respond truthfully as this will help build trust.
Since she values her privacy, you shouldn’t pry into her affairs as she will open up when she feels comfortable enough. Being a street artist, she also seeks open-minded people so you should show understanding and acceptance whenever she talks about her work.
The Dates
As you play through the game, Valeria will invite you on dates as you spend more time with her and gain more experience as a wielder.
- Park (First Visit): After saving her from the dungeon, Valeria will invite you to the park. She’s still not trusting of you, so give her plenty of space and listen to her doubts. Don’t be too eager or you’ll make her uncomfortable.
- Art Museum: For the second date, Valeria will invite you to an art museum where she’ll share her opinion that art should be made easily accessible for all to see. She’ll also ask you if there’s a piece of art you’d like to steal if you could, as well as present dialogue to pursue a romantic or platonic relationship.
- Park (Second Visit): At this point, you’ll have noticed a character named Jake hanging around. Valeria will invite you to the park to explain her past relationship and an art activity. Simply listen to what she has to say and then decide how you want to react.
- Studio (First Visit): Once you’ve built enough trust, Valeria will invite you to her studio to discuss art and your relationship.
- Night Painting: Seeking to share her world with you, Valeria will invite you to do a graffiti mural. She’ll ask you to paint something, but not before police sirens are heard in the distance. Before they arrive, Jake appears to help the two of you get away so just go along with him.
- Studio (Second Visit): For the final encounter, Valeria will invite you to her studio to discuss your relationship and future among other things. Jake will also be there to explain himself and his actions, but will surprisingly ask if you want to join their street art group. By saying “Yes”, Jake will finally warm up to you and Valeria will be overjoyed.
Going To The BBQ
About halfway through the adventure, cousin Jesse will send you an invitation to a 4th of July BBQ he’s hosting. Though he wants to introduce you to his friend Jonah, you’ll have the option to bring Valeria who you should have a Level 3/4 relationship at this point. You’ll be talking to Jonah for a while before Valeria arrives and then all of you will have a chance to talk together.
A character named Eric will arrive to make things uncomfortable, but try not to lose your cool. Eventually, the fireworks will start and you’ll have a moment to kiss Valeria that will raise your love for each other.
