In Pokemon games, Wonder Trading, or as it has been called, Surprise Trading, was such a great element. You are randomly connected with someone online and must exchange a random Pokemon with them. You may wind up with a legendary, a random Pokemon, or a shiny with flawless IVs. It was a harmless bet that appears to be going into the Pokemon BDSP.
What is the GWS in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
The GWS, or Global Wonder Station, is a reimagined version of the Sinnoh region’s Global Trade Station (GTS). You may recall seeing this location in the first two games, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. When you arrive at Jubilife City and turn left from the Trainers’ School, you’ll come upon a massive structure that you can’t enter. You will be stopped by a lady near the building who will inform you that the GWS is not yet ready.
How to unlock the GWS in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
Regrettably, it appears that the Global Wonder Station is still not open to the general public. There has been no confirmation or information on when this location will be open. For the time being, all we have is supposition.
In 2022, Pokemon HOME, the cloud-based storage software for transferring your Pokemon between Sword/Shield, the Let’s Go games, and Pokemon GO, will support BDSP. When the Sinnoh remakes gain HOME support, it wouldn’t be surprising if the GWS opens as well.
Players will be more motivated to go out and capture more Pokemon if there are more people trading in the game. Our boxes will fill up on our PCs with time, and we may need that extra piece of cloud storage to transfer some mons over, or even between games.
