Curve Digital’s frenetic multiplayer firefighting game Embr, which debuted in Early Access over a year and a half ago, is officially coming to PC and consoles next month.
Despite the fact that Curve Digital’s game is not yet in the hands of everyone, it has managed to establish itself among many cooperative video game lovers during its Early Access period. Now it hopes to gain more fans with its launch on consoles.
Guaranteed laughter
Embr is a delightfully insane multiplayer game in which you and your friends join up to combat horrific fires and rescue civilians. (Does tossing them out of an open window onto the ground below count as a true rescue?)
There are two new expansive districts to explore, 12 new hand-crafted levels, 13 new tools and upgrades to customize your firefighting experience, and five new game modes to earn extra money your way. Plus expect tons of additional wearables, vehicle cosmetics, UI overhaul, achievements, and more.
Embr‘s full release brings a plethora of content that neither you nor your friends will forget.
Become the ultimate ‘have-a-go hero’
Players may play the game individually or in online teams, battling fire after fire to gather tips from clients and achieve the all-important five-star rating. Collect cash, improve tools, and hopefully become the ultimate ‘have-a-go hero’ fireman.
If that isn’t enough, gamers may also deliver takeaway meals on the go with ‘Embr Eats’ and drop off explosive items as a ‘Box Box’ delivery expert before becoming a DIY safety engineer as a Gaslight Inc employee.
“If anyone is expecting Embr to be a realistic depiction of an average day in the life of a firefighter, then they’re in for a big surprise,” said Howard Tsao, Team Lead at Muse Games.
“Embr is the ultimate have-a-go-hero adventure, where everyone from the paperboy to the Gran who lives at the end of your street could fill their day by coming to save you from a blaze in your house – even if that means throwing you out the window in the process. In Embr, the ends justify the utterly manic means,” he added.
Release date
The complete game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 23, 2021. The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions are available both digitally and physically.
