Krispy Kreme Is Getting Xbox Doughnuts

Xbox has teamed up with Krispy Kreme and created a console-themed doughnut. Buying a box of them will get you a free month of Game Pass and maybe even a Series S.

Unfair or not, the word gamer can conjure up thoughts of particular food and drink. Doritos and Mountain Dew are synonymous with the video game world. Doughnuts, on the other hand, don't immediately spring to mind. That hasn't stopped Krispy Kreme from teaming up with Xbox to make a special edition console-themed doughnut.

As officially revealed via the rather amusing ad below, Krispy Kreme has created The Nexus Level Doughnut. A classic Krispy Kreme doughnut filled with brownie batter and topped with green icing and a white dusting to recreate the Xbox logo in an edible form. Sounds delicious, and the doughnuts will be available in Krispy Kreme outlets and from cabinets across the UK and Ireland from August 2 until August 22, 2021.

Xbox and Krispy Kreme's collab extends beyond doughnuts alone. Buying these doughnuts could land you some pretty neat Xbox swag too. In fact, if you buy a Choose Your Own Dozen at Krispy Kreme Stores or Sharer Dozen in grocery or services cabinets, you will also get one free month of Game Pass Ultimate. The free month is limited to one per customer, so no buying a dozen a day and enjoying month after month of free Game Pass, unfortunately.

Buying either of those dozens will also enter you into a contest to potentially win one of 110 Xbox Series S consoles Krispy Kreme has to give away. A press release from Krispy Kreme also reveals that there will be more suprise drops to come throughout August in relation to this rather unique crossover, so keep watching the doughnut specialist's social media for more on that.

The Nexus Level Doughnut will cost £2.10 each when they go on sale from August 2 but remember you will need to buy a Krispy Kreme dozen for that free month of Game Pass and to be entered into the Series S prize draw. A Choose Your Own Dozen in store costs £14.45, and a Sharer Dozen from grocery store cabinets costs £13.45.
