It’s been a few months since the first wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass launched. That was back in March, and since then all has been rather quiet from Nintendo regarding the next drop. Thankfully, not only do we know what the next batch of courses is comprised of, we also know when we’ll be able to race on them: August 4! You can see it all in this fresh trailer:
Here are the two cups and their corresponding courses (as well as which game/platform in the series they’re from, if applicable):
- Turnip Cup:
- (Mario Kart Tour Mobile) New York Minute
- (Super Mario Kart SNES) Mario Circuit 3
- (Mario Kart 64 N64) Kalimari Desert
- (Mario Kart DS Nintendo DS) Waluigi Pinball
- Propeller Cup:
- (Mario Kart Tour Mobile) Sydney Sprint
- (Mario Kart: Super Circuit GBA) Snow Land
- (Mario Kart Wii Wii) Mushroom Gorge
- Sky-High Sundae
Sky-High Sundae is unique to this round of the DLC—it’s not a remake from any previous Mario Kart entry. As with Wave 1 of the Booster Course Pass DLC, it can be purchased separately or is available as part of the membership for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. Recall that a total of 48 additional courses are slated to be released by the end of 2023. Nintendo doesn’t seem to have a rigid timetable in mind for doing these drops, but hopefully they’ll remain steady, if nothing else, and all come out within that release window.
