Marvel’s Avengers To Get A Free Weekend Trial Later This Month

Those out there still on the fence about Marvel's Avengers will be able to experience the game for free later this month during a free weekend trial.

If you're interested in finally trying Marvel's Avengers, you'll be able to do so completely free from July 29 – August 1 on PlayStation, Stadia, and Steam, with an Xbox free weekend coming at some point later this year. Players who download the trial will gain access to the game's single-player campaign as well as all of the newly added content, including playable heroes such as Kate Bishop and Hawkeye.

As an added bonus, if you decide that you'd like to purchase Marvel's Avengers when the free weekend is up, all of your progression will carry over to the full game. This means that you'll easily be able to pick up where you left off and won't have to worry about replaying sections of the game when you buy the full version. Those already playing Marvel's Avengers will receive 4x XP during the free weekend.

You'll be able to download the free weekend trial version of Marvel's Avengers on July 29 at 9 am PT/12 pm ET/5 pm UK, and the trial will end at the same time on August 1. Those playing on Stadia will be able to download the game an hour earlier, but the trial will also expire an hour earlier as well.

As for the future of Marvel's Avengers, the game's Black Panther: War for Wakanda expansion is shaping up to be quite the addition to the game. From the expansion's trailer, we can gather that players will take on the role of Black Panther (voiced by Kratos voice actor Chris Judge) as they try and stop Klaw from taking the Vibranium out of Wakanda.

The War for Wakanda expansion doesn't have a specific release date just yet, but it is expected to drop at some point next month. If you're interested in the base game, Marvel's Avengers is currently available on most platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
