Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin: Ena’s Best Outfits

As one of your two permanent partners in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wing of Ruin, Ena gets a few costumes that she can equip just like Navirou. You can change costumes at any of your homes in the settlements you visit.

Fashion is important in video games. While Ena doesn't get as many costumes as Navirou, she gets more stylish and elaborate garments to wear that suit her aesthetic and her personality. Unfortunately, many of Ena's best costumes are locked behind paid DLC, but there are some to unlock through Melynx Inc. too. Here are the best options.

Traveling Gear

These bright, pastel versions of Ena's default costume are nice to have but rather boring in comparison to her other costumes – including her default. They feature nice hair adornments and stylish leather boots, definitely conveying the idea that Ena knows a thing or two about fashion.

Despite this, they are easily accessible in the game and are convenient for changing up her looks. As simple recolors, they don't change things too drastically and therefore keep Ena's demure identity present.

Cheerleader

There are two varieties of Cheerleader outfits for Ena in Monster Hunter Stories 2; one in pink and one in blue. Oddly, Navirou has three Cheerleader outfits.

These outfits are quite modest compared to similar outfits in other games and come in quite nice colors. That said, Cheerleader outfits don't really make sense for the Monster Hunter universe, especially ones that look so synthetic. However, the boots are really nice and the flowery pom-poms attached to her wrist are a nice way of conveying the outfits' theme without being too overt and distracting.

Default

Despite this being Ena's default outfit it's definitely worthy of a mention as it looks so great. While it is ostensibly just the base for the Traveling Outfits it looks a lot better than them thanks to its color choice being bolder.

The forest green of the top and the deep, dark blue of the skirt compliment each other well and make for a cohesive outfit. It's a combination that references Ena's hometown of Rutoh, a beautiful forested village. You definitely won't feel like you're missing out on much by keeping Ena in her default state.

White Dress

The White Dress outfit is a very sleek and cute outfit for Ena, with a very bright color scheme that suits her well – it really brings out her red eyes. This outfit has the trappings of classic 'maiden' designs from classic fantasy tales, making Ena look somewhat like a White Mage or a temple priestess.

While the aesthetic of the outfit is nice, it rather highlights a design problem that seems ubiquitous amongst Ena's outfits – her legs are always so exposed. Some theorize that this is to make her look cuter but one cannot help but feel sorry for her when traveling around the ice fields of Loloska or the damp caves scattered across the world. It's just not practical and breaks the immersion somewhat.

Felyne Shelter Garb

Fancy is the name of the game with this outfit. It's a lovely Eastern-inspired coat featuring a thin obi that has a pawprint medallion attached to it, something that really accentuates its Felyne theming.

While the Felyne Shelter Garb keeps the minidress silhouette that most of her other outfits have, it doesn't feel too noticeable here thanks to the high socks. Even in the coldest region of Loloska Ena's fashion choice here doesn't feel too out of place.

Tropical Dress

The Tropical Dress outfit is perfect for roaming around Hokolo Island thanks to its breezy, simple beauty. The peach coloring really complements the sunset orange of the dress and the wave pattern at the bottom is a perfect touch – appreciably stylish but not overly garish.

The adornments that this outfit has really elevate the look. Coco Chanel famously said "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off," and luckily for us, Ena ignores this advice for this great outfit.

Kuan Coat

This is the most fashionable Ena can look in Monster Hunter Stories 2. It's an elevation of her usual silhouette featuring a stylish coat with chunky fasteners and a small beehive hairdo that really suits the entire ensemble. The patterns on the sleeves and the trim also accentuate this look.

Not only fashionable but functional. This outfit really suits the snowy tundra of the Loloska region on which it's based, and is a perfect accompaniment for that area. That said, it doesn't look too out of place in other parts of the game and makes for a great alternative to the Traveling Outfit.

Ancient Raiment

If Ena was a playable character in a more magical RPG, this outfit would probably have been some top-tier armor that boosted her spellcasting. It's a fantastic look that feels perfect for the cutscenes towards the end of the game, where the stakes get higher and higher.

The ombre fabric that fades from blue to cream suits Ena brilliantly and the splashes of pink help give the look more shape, elevating this look to be one of the most eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing in the entire game. The floral pattern on the bodice is evocative of Ena's default outfit too, making this the perfect final evolution on her fashion journey.
