The Virtuous Cycle is both the name of the expansion as well as the new Roguelike mode where you can attempt to clear a self-altering world where no two runs are the same. You can also create your own custom combat discipline thanks to 100 upgrade pillars scattered around Fallgrim waiting to be discovered.
Besides the new mode, The Virtuous Cycle also adds Hadern, the fifth playable Shell in both the main campaign and roguelike runs. The new Axatana weapon will also be available, which as the name implies, can transform between heavy axe and paired katanas, as well as new Shell Shades for each of the four existing Shells.
