Gamescom is bringing players exciting news on some of the most hyped games that will be coming out in the future, and Dragon Age 4 is no exception. While there was no new trailer like other games like Surgeon Simulator 2 may have showcased, the virtual gaming convention showed off never before seen concept art, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect to see when the game is released.
BioWare created a special preview for Gamescom, showing off the thought process that the team of devs is working with from behind the scenes. The developer’s passion for crafting an intricate story for Dragon Age 4 was clearly evident, and while the team detailed some of the direction that the plot will be heading, it also showed pieces of concept art that players can use to help visualize this upcoming game.

The concept art that BioWare displayed at Gamescom showed off various aspects of the game. The first few images depicted landscapes that will most likely become areas in the game that players can explore, giving fans a brief look at what could a town overlooking a lake, a carved stone interior, and a closer look at a few of the buildings from the first image.
Another image showed a few different characters swimming near the bottom of a body of water, with one of them appearing as if she were about to open a treasure chest. The next work of art showed a group of characters waiting around the corner from a building with armed guards, a mage casting a small fire.
Matthew Goldman, the creative director of Dragon Age 4, brought viewers attention to the frontier aspect of the game as images flashed on the screen of a tall building overlooking a river and desert-like mountains. The images also showed off some of the characters and situations that players may find themselves encountering when journeying through the game, displaying scenes from a towering figure in armor with a huge sword and shield in hand to various people gathered at an indoor marketplace trading interesting goods. The video also gave a few new images of Solas as well. Towards the end of the video, a few images are shown that may hint at characters that will be in the player’s party as they journey through the game’s world.
BioWare developers also discussed the story a bit, saying that the game makes players truly feel as if they are playing the hero. At the same time, players may have to make difficult decisions when though in power are not willing to step up and down what’s right. This sneak peek is showing an exciting new game that players are eager to experience for themselves when it is finally out.
