Players will always be guaranteed some Fish Filets when salvaging a fish, though, Fish Oil is an uncommon by-product of the process. This is the only manner of harvest Fish Oil, so be sure to get one's angling skills up to par to get lots of this material.

According to its item information, Fish Oil can be derived from Common and Uncommon fish as well as Sturgeon and Swordfish. When seeking out this material, be sure to aim for these kinds of underwater creatures by selecting the best bait for the species.
