Recently, Nintendo has been creating one-week free trials of select games for Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) members only. Though this is an improvement to NSO’s previous service perks, the games have been limited and region specific. This past week, Two Point Hospital and Fuser were announced for Europe and Minecraft Dungeons for Japan.

Free trials for games is definitely an improvement and the selection hasn’t been too bad so far. Could this be a sign of a change for the better? So far, it has been pretty limited, but this could just be Nintendo testing out the waters before expanding.
However, give Nintendo’s marketing strategies lately, it’s difficult to get too optimistic. Limited 7-day free trials seem to be poorly veiled schemes to sell more games rather than pro-consumer business practices. Compared to PlayStation and Xbox offerings, NSO still has a lot of catching up to do.
What do you think? Are you optimistic for NSO? Is NSO worth the price? Let us know in the comments.
