PlayStation Now Adding Nier: Automata And Undertale August 3

PlayStation has revealed which three games will be coming to PlayStation Now this month, and subscribers don't have long to wait before they can play them.

Xbox continues to build Game Pass into one of, if not the best value subscription service on the market. Meanwhile, PlayStation owners wait patiently for their own console creators to come up with something similar. The truth is, PlayStation probably thinks it is doing enough with its existing subs to please PlayStation owners. That 10 million PS5s have been sold in just eight months certainly backs up that belief.

PlayStation continues to add titles to PlayStation Now, the closest thing it has to Game Pass. In fact, it has just announced three more which will be coming to PS Now later this month. Actually, they'll be available to subscribers as soon as tomorrow, August 3, 2021.

The three new titles announced are Undertale, Nier: Automata, and Ghostrunner. Not the most star-studded month in PS Now history. Last month Red Dead Redemption 2 made the cut, as did Judgment in preparation for Lost Judgment's launch later this year. Not every month can be that jam-packed though, and August's titles are still ones that subscribers should be excited about. In fact, since they are likely games that have been played less than last month's offerings, they should appeal to even more people.

If you are unfamiliar with the trio, each one offers up a very different experience. Automata is an RPG from the Nier series but fear not, you don't necessarily need to have played the others to enjoy it. We would highly recommend doing so if you like this one, though. Ghostrunner has you wielding a sword and doing parkour, while Undertale is effectively the exact opposite. A top-down 2D game you can technically complete without a single act of violence.

All three titles will be added to PS Now on August 3, two of which don't currently have expiry dates attached to them. Automata, on the other hand, will only be available to subscribers until November 1, 2021, at which point it will be removed and no longer be free to play. Undertale and Ghostrunner will remain beyond that date, though.
