Today marks the start of Crystal Guard in Rainbow Six Siege – the third season of Year six – and it offers a new operator, reworks to Bank, Coastline, and Clubhouse, and an extended free play weekend from September 9 – 12.
Osa is the main draw of Crystal Guard, as the operator brings some much-needed defensive chops to the Attackers side of the playing field. Her transparent Talon-8 shield provides a bit of safety to anyone behind it, while also giving them a clear view of opponents on the other side. She carries either a 556xi or PDW9 into battle, along with a PMM as her secondary.
Beyond Osa, several adjustments have been made to Finka, Sledge, Glaz, Iana, Twitch, IQ, Mute, Fuze, and more.
Ubisoft said "additional updates" will arrive with Crystal Guard, including:
- Elite personalization
- HP now replaces the armour
- Updates for Finka, Sledge, Glaz, Iana, Twitch, IQ, Mute and Fuze
- Lower price for operators Maverick, Clash, Amaru, Goyo and Zero
- Seasonal weapon skin
Meanwhile, the new Battle Pass includes 100 tiers and 133 rewards and will be available until November 23.
Rainbow Six Siege will also be available to play for free on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC from September 9 to September 12. The game will be discounted up to 80% during that time – so now's your chance to finally dive into the strategic team-based shooter.
