More new content comes to Red Dead Online this week. This hunt sends players on a guns-blazing path of destruction for a unique pale-yellow diamond, known to many as Il Sovrano.
Rockstar Games' Western sandbox has received its fair share ofupdates recently, more notably with the wicked Red Dead Online Blood Money undertakings. These mostly celebrated expansions have brought many players back to the game, and it seems the developers are trying their best to keep gunslingers hustling with this week's brand-new crime and robbery mission.

The latest Blood Money opportunity is a mission that tasks players with assembling a black-hearted posse of crooks to steal the exorbitant Il Sovrano diamond, which is said to be passing through Rhodes, a settlement in the Scarlett Meadows region of Lemoyne. Local guns-for-hires can be found debating who should take custody of the gemstone, but it's up to players to hunt down its location and pilfer it for Guido Martelli.
Before players can steal the famed Il Sovrano diamond, they will first need to have enough Capitale in the bank to start the mission. With that noted, the difficulty options for the Blood Money Opportunity costs are as follows:
- Standard – 15 Capitale
- Hard – 20 Capitale
- Ruthless – 25 Capitale
If lacking in Capitale, this clandestine currency is earned exclusively through dishonorable side-activities that pay handsomely in Capitale. These undertakings are dotted around the map on outlaws such as Anthony Foreman, Sean Macguire, James Langton, and any other stranger who will offer low honor missions.
After starting the heist for Il Sovrano via any of the aforementioned low honor villains in Red Dead Online, three individuals will then be marked on the outskirts of Rhodes. These targets can be found inside the town's saloon, on the second floor right above the bar with the intended target being a fidgety desperado who will frequently move about to smoke on the balcony, get wasted at the bar, or use the outhouse. Once killed, make sure to loot his body for the letter that exposes the whereabouts of the diamond. However, before players go in with pistols drawn, it would be best to do some homework:

With the letter in the inventory, head to the now marked wagon, take out its riders and hijack it. From there, it’s a ride over to the drop off point, but things aren’t too simple. The law will continue to pursue in numbers, so be sure to equip the best guns Red Dead Online has to offer. This is also where strength comes in numbers, so those playing in a full posse will make light work of the attackers.
For players who hunt alone, the best strategy is to go on the first floor, underneath the identified targets, and listen to the conversation. The desperado with the disclosed letter will walk go outside to the outhouse to take a leak. With this in mind, murder him when he departs towards the outhouse, then further loot his corpse for the coveted letter. However, doing so will prompt bandits to pursue. Once they have been taken care of, a wagon will be marked on the player's map. Head to it, shoot several guys and steal the diamond wagon.
Some useful tips to be mindful of:
- Do not be tonic shy. Utilise Special Bitters and Snake Oil tonics especially.
- Once at the diamond wagon, preferably suspend it on the road, then circle it to kill enemies before they can get on it.
- Use the auto-drive feature whilst on the wagon, this will unconsciously keep the cart on track to the destination.
- Shooting horses as they approach with a shotgun, particularly the Pump Action Shotgun, is extremely effective.
With the Il Sovrano in Guido Martelli's possession, completing the opportunity will yield a reward for a free weapon component of the player's choice.
