Rumors surrounding a potential sequel to Bloodborne are an almost monthly occurence, but this new rumor making the rounds has a bit of a twist. According to two known leakers, FromSoftware is currently working on a PS5 exclusive title that isn't Bloodborne 2, but a new IP instead.

First surfacing on a podcast by YouTuber Dealer Gaming, this supposed leak claims that the game will be similar to FromSoftware's other titles and won't be a timed exclusive, staying permanently on PS5 systems. The leak was then corroborated by Nick on Twitter, co-founder of Xbox Era, who was allegely going to use this leak to start a rumor mill next week.
It's worth noting that this is definitely just a rumor at this point, and both sources here are using anonymous sources of their own. It's possible that FromSoftware could be working on a new game for Sony, what with the developer having collaborated with the publisher on both Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, but there's no concrete evidence pointing to that just yet.
Right now, FromSoftware is likely hard at work on its next big release, Elden Ring. You may recall that Elden Ring was announced during the Summer Game Fest earlier this year, and all parties involved have been extremely open with details about the game and what to expect from it since it was revealed.
According to the game's website, Elden Ring will have a seamless open-world with day/night cycles and dynamic weather to experience. You will be able to use the weather and the environment to your advantage, giving you an edge in battle. It's also been confirmed by Bandai Namco that the game will also support online multiplayer, which is great news for those that need an extra sword or two.
Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki has also shared some details, explaining that Elden Ring will be roughly 30 hours long and will also be one of FromSoftware's less punishing titles due to the game's levelling system and player choice. Elden Ring is set to launch on January 21 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
