Publisher Deep Silver and developer Volition are teasing a new Saints Row reboot via a newly launched teaser site and the above “Rebooting” image.
A new Saints Row reboot or new game of some kind was expected as Deep Silver parent company THQ Nordic previously teased Volition was in “deep development” of a “brand new Saints Row game” back in 2019.
The new teaser site was originally posted by Gamescom 2021 host Geoff Keighley, teasing the announcement is coming on August 25 at 10 AM Pacific / 2 PM Eastern.
The most recent release in the series was Saints Row: The Third Remastered, which got a port for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 back in May of this year.
This year’s Gamescom attendees include companies like 505 Games, Activision, Aerosoft, Assemble Entertainment, Astragon Entertainment, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Electronic Arts, GAMEVIL COM2US Europe, Headup, Koch Media, NExT Studios (Tencent Games), Sega Europe, Team17, Thunderful Games, Ubisoft, Wargaming, and Xbox.
