Sea of Thieves’ Pirate Emporium Proceeds Go To Twycross Zoo

The Pirate Emporium in Sea of Thieves is a way that players can show off their personal style. It includes pets, ship liveries, emotes and more that players can get by using Ancient Coins, which are able to be purchased with real money. The Emporium is updated monthly, so there is always an opportunity to get new stuff. Some of the content currently available includes Captain Jack Sparrow emotes, ternal freedom weapons, and a prison dog.

But for the next couple days—specifically July 31 through August 1—all the proceeds from purchases of pets or pet accessories in the Pirate Emporium will be donated to Twycross Zoo. Specifically, this is to support Twycross Zoo’s mission to preserve endangered species. There’s never been a better time to pick up Sea of Thieves if you haven’t yet made the plunge.

Though we haven’t gotten a ton of news regarding Sea of Thieves lately, the most notable comes from earlier this month, in which an Easter egg in the game was thought to be suggestive of Monkey Island. Spoilers for the Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life expansion ahead. When you get to the end of the expansion and explore the ship further, it is revealed that the ship belongs to Captain Kate Capsize, one of the characters from the second installment in the Monkey Island series. Though this could mean nothing, many have taken this as a suggestion of another crossover coming soon.
