There are tons of locations scattered throughout the world of Stardew Valley. Although Pelican Town is quite small, the valley still has plenty of locations to offer. One of these locations is the spa. Nestled north of town near the railyard, the spa is open every day of the week.

Inside the spa, you will be able to recover health and energy while relaxing in the water. This is very important, especially if you spend all morning tending to your farm and plan to go mining for the rest of the day. With the spa, you can start your afternoon mining trip at full energy. In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the spa. First, let's take a look at where the spa is.
Location
The spa is located in the railroad area, north of Robin's shop. On the map above, you can see the spa circled.
This area will be blocked off by a boulder when you first start a new game. On Summer 3, an earthquake removes the boulder, allowing you to proceed into the area.
After the boulder is removed, you will be able to enter the railroad area. The spa is located directly to the left of the entrance to the area. It's pretty large, meaning you can't miss it. As mentioned earlier, the spa never closes and will remain open during festivals as well.
Inside The Spa
There are three different areas within the spa. Let's take a look at the areas and what you can find in each one.
Front Area
The front area is a small room with two doors leading to locker rooms. The door on the left leads to the women's locker room, while the door on the right leads to the men's locker room.
During the winter, you can find Linus standing in the spa area from 2 pm to 6 pm.
As with other buildings in Stardew Valley, you will be able to decorate the spa. The front room is a bit drab, so don't be afraid to add objects to liven it up! Remember to leave a path for Linus to walk, so no items are destroyed.
Locker Room
The locker room area of the spa connects the front entrance to the pool. When you enter either locker room, you pass several lockers, bathroom stalls, and showers. The room will curve to the left, leading to the pool area.
The men's locker room will have a gym area in the top left corner. During the winter, you can find Alex here pretty much every day from 9 am until 3 pm.
In these areas, you can also find Penny, Abigail, and Alex's lockers. Interacting with them will display a message, describing the content and smell.
There will be a small structure for you to pass under leading to the pool, which can be seen on the lefthand side of the image above. Doing so will cause you to change into your swimsuit, which will be whatever color of pants that you are wearing.
At this point, you will no longer be able to run. Walk through the area and proceed into the pool room.
Pool
This is the last area of the spa. Here, you will find a giant pool. Standing in the pool will allow you to recover health and energy pretty quickly. It's important to remember that these effects will only happen if you are standing still, so try not to move around too much if you want to heal.
There are no villagers that enter the pool area as part of their schedule, but you will visit with Penny for her ten heart event. During this event, you will have the opportunity to confess your feelings to Penny (or turn her down if you aren't interested).
To go back to the locker room, just head to the stairway you entered from. If you try to enter the other locker room, a message will appear, saying that you cannot enter.
Fishing
Lastly, you will be able to fish in a small pond outside of the stall during spring, summer, and fall. During winter, the pond will be frozen and you cannot fish.
Once you find Secret Note 25, you will have the chance to fish for the ornate necklace. This is a unique object that can be given to Caroline for 50 friendship points, or Abigail for 100 friendship points. These are the only people who can be gifted this item.
Additionally, you do not have to have the ornate necklace selected to give it to these two villagers; when you approach either Caroline or Abigail, you will immediately give it to them. Talk to the person you want to receive this first, so you don't accidentally give it to the wrong person.
If you haven't found Secret Note 25, you can still fish in the pond. There will be a small chance that you fish the Vista painting, but the only other thing you can catch is trash.
That's all there is to the spa! This building is out of the way, but it's a great place to relax after a hard day of mining.
