The Witcher Monster Slayer: How To Relocate Quests

The Witcher Monster Slayer is a new, Pokemon Go-like mobile game where you walk around and interact with monsters. Only, rather than catching them and putting them into your pocket, you're hacking and slashing at them until they die, filling out your bestiary — it's a bit more gruesome than walking your feebas. You even get quests from key NPCs that send you to various locations around you where you can complete objectives.

When I took my first quest, I walked down to where it was circled on the map. It was along a path next to a closed farm shop where, even if it were open, I wouldn't be allowed to enter — it'd be trespassing because it was a privately owned area. Luckily, Monster Slayer lets you relocate these.

I will preface this guide by saying that you should not trespass or break the law to complete a quest. You should move them instead to somewhere that you can go to legally. If it's dangerous, you should also relocate the quest. There's no point going down a one-way 60mph road to beat a quest in a video game at the risk of your own life. With that said, let's dive into how you actually go about moving Monster Slayer's quests.

Walk Away From The Quest Location

Firstly, you cannot relocate a quest if you are nearby. However, you don't have to hop on a bus, get in a car, or fly to another country to get away from it. Simply walk along the path or road in a direction away from the quest.

Eventually, you'll get a pop-up that tells you that you are now eligible for relocating it.

Open Your Journal

On the bottom of your screen, you'll see a few buttons. Press the arrow in the center and then select the book labeled "Journal."

Now, click the quest that you want to relocate.

Relocate Your Quest

Simply press the "Relocate" button and your quest will move.

The button should be gold — if it is greyed out, then you need to move further away from the quest.

With the quest moved, you can venture over to it. If it is still in a dangerous or inaccessible location, simply repeat the steps.

In my own experience, going back to the general area of the first quest spot and relocating resulted in it picking a new spot in that vicinity, somewhere that wasn't trespassing or dangerous. It won't always pick the same spot in each area.
