This is pure wish-fulfillment right here. Full disclosure, this writer avidly collects Nintendo toys and merchandise, and the JAKKS Pacific stuff has been a real treat for years now. However, when walking down the toy aisles at Target, there’s a random pirate ship playset that is sometimes situated next to the Mario line that always makes me think that JAKKS finally went and released a proper airship playset. Alas, it was never to be… until now! JAKKS is launching the Super Mario Bowser’s Airship Playset this fall.

The set will work with both the 2.5″ and 4″ figures that JAKKS has released over the years (although proportionally the 2.5″ figures, of which a Mario one is included, seem best suited). The top even comes off to act as housing for multiple different figures, not to mention below decks fisticuffs and adventures! No word on price just yet, nor the actual release date, but we will definitely let you all know as soon as we do!
