To succeed in Tribes of Midgard, you will need to continuously upgrade your weaponry. Eventually, you will be wielding weapons that contain the power of the gods themselves. Weapons come in five tiers: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Legendary weapons are the strongest in the game and can either be crafted directly or from previously crafted epic precursors. Unlocking and crafting these weapons will greatly improve your chances of survival and grant powerful new skills to your character.

Nornir Axe

The Nornir axe may not be as powerful as some of the other weapons, but it is still one of the best and most easily obtainable early-game weapons. This accessibility makes it one of the most important weapons to add to your personal armory. The Nornir Axe deals thunder damage and causes the paralysis effect. It also grants the Throw+ and Bright Cry skills and can be further upgraded to epic status.

The Nornir Axe I is a simple weapon to craft. It requires nine stone, five linnorm spikes, and two mushroom moon bolts and can be further upgraded to an epic-level weapon with an improved Bright Cry skill.

Seiðr Hammer

This hammer draws its power from forbidden dark magic. The Seiðr Hammer is a rare hammer that deals dark-type damage. It causes the void effect and grants the skills, Shatter+ and Drain. Of all of the epic weapons in the game, the Seiðr Hammer has the highest power stat, making it an excellent choice before obtaining a legendary weapon!

The Seiðr Hammer I can be crafted with 20 stones, 14 Helthing rings, and eight amethysts and can be upgraded to an epic level weapon, which will improve the Drain skill.

Gullveig's Blade

The goddess Gullveig was said to be incinerated and resurrected not once, but three times. Her affinity to the element of fire lives in this rare sword that deals fire damage and causes the burn effect. In addition, this sword grants the Tornado+ and Mine skills.

Gullveig's Blade I is fairly simple to craft as it requires 13 iron, nine Brennálfar ambers, and five garnets. This makes it a useful early game investment because it can later be upgraded into an epic-level weapon that is incredibly effective at melting ice giants.

Gullveig's Skeggöx

This axe, named after the goddess Gullveig, is said to contain the raw power and fury of molten earth. Gullveig's Skeggöx deals fire damage and causes the burn+ status. It also grants the Slash+ and Fury skills. “Skeggöx” also means “bearded axe”, which refers to a specific type of axe where the blade is longer at the cutting edge and doubles as a hook.

Gullveig's Skeggöx requires 11 stones, seven Brennálfar ambers, and four garnets to craft and can be upgraded to epic status, resulting in an improvement to the Fury skill.

Múspelheim Maul

The Múspelheim Maul was named after the place it was originally crafted in…the fiery hell of Múspelheim. This end of the hammer is said to have never truly cooled down. The Múspelheim Maul deals fire damage and causes the burn effect. It also grants the strike skill and when fully upgraded to legendary level, it grants the Strike++, Fire Trail+, and Worlds Ablaze skills.

The uncommon version of the maul requires 11 stones and five Brennálfar ambers to craft. To complete the legendary upgrade, you will need the epic version of the Múspelheim Maul along with 15 large bones, nine segments of Hálogi's Horn, and one golden horn.

Sigyn’s Blade

Sigyn’s Blade begins as an uncommon sword but can be fully upgraded to legendary-level throughout the game. The sword deals dark damage and causes the void++ status. It also grants the Tornado skill. After reaching its full legendary potential, Sigyn’s blade grants an upgraded Tornado skill along with Basin Drain+ and Twilight Beam. It is said that the power within this blade comes from the rage of Sigyn herself, who watched one of his sons be helplessly transformed into a wolf and the other be used as a chain to bind her husband.

Sigyn’s Blade requires nine iron and five helthing fingernails to craft. To complete the final legendary upgrade, you will need the epic version of the sword along with 12 Dökkálfar orbs, eight strands of Angrboða's hair, and one golden horn.

Elivigar Bow

The Elivigar Bow is a legendary bow said to be housed in the wellspring of Hvergelmir, which is thought to be the water source of all of the world’s rivers and streams. In fact, the word “Elivigar” in Norse mythology describes the first rivers of the world. This bow deals dark damage and causes the void status. It also grants the knockback++, Sticky Drain+, and Grim Barrage skills.

Crafting the Elivigar Bow is no trifling matter. It requires 14 wooden boards, 11 helthing rings, eight helthing crowns, and one golden horn.

Baldr's Blade

Baldr's Blade is both a tool of war and a stunning work of art. The sword takes after its master Baldr in this regard, as even Loki himself called him “Drop dead gorgeous”. Baldr (Baldur) also makes an appearance in the thematically similar game, God of War. This legendary sword deals thunder damage and causes the paralysis effect. It grants the following skills: Whirlwind++, Tree of life+, and Thunderstorm.

Baldr's Blade is a complex weapon to craft and requires 13 wrought irons, nine werewolf fangs, five shards of Járnsaxa's Brooch, and one golden horn.

Fornjót's Axe

Named after an ice giant, this frozen axe of legend is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Fornjót's Axe deals ice damage and causes the cold effect. It grants three skills including Slash++, Band Hide+, and Blizzard. Because it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game that deals ice damage, you will surely want to have Fornjót's Axe handy when you come face to face with a fire giant.

Crafting Fornjót's Axe is no simple undertaking. It requires 12 cut stones, nine unfrozen talismans, five pieces of Geirröðr's jaw, and one golden horn.

Fenrir’s Fang

This legendary sword represents the fang of the legendary dark wolf, Fenrir, who also happens to be the son of Loki himself. Fenrir’s Fang does not deal elemental damage like many of the other powerful weapons in Tribes of Midgard, but to make up for that weakness, it grants three overwhelmingly powerful skills including Crushing Boulder, Smashing Pounce, and Building Chains.

Fenrir’s Fang can be crafted with 19 wrought irons, 15 werewolf fangs, 11 large bones, and one golden horn and is unlockable after beating Fenrir at least five times.
