If you're looking to stock up on Forma, Orokin Catalysts, or want to obtain some unique cosmetics, you won't want to miss this Nightwave. Let's go over what Nora's Choice is, how Nightwaves work, this season's rewards, and the first set of challenges or Acts you can complete for Nightwave XP.
What Is Nightwave Nora's Choice?
Nightwave Nora's Choice is Warframe's seventh Nightwave season, acting as a second intermission after Series 3: Glassmaker. While most intermissions act as catch-up seasons that bring back old Nightwave rewards, Nora's Choice does have some new Mods and cosmetics for players to chase. If you missed out on the Eros Wings Ephemera from Star Days or Glassmaker's shoulder armor, you'll want to grind out this intermission.
Nightwave Basics And FAQ
If you're familiar with how Nightwaves work, skip this section.
If you haven't played Warframe in a while, Nightwave is Warframe's version of a season pass, acting as a replacement to the old Alert system. Players are given challenges every week that grant XP when completed which is used to progress a season pass. These season passes are free and are not monetized in any way.
Each Nightwave has 30 ranks. Once you reach rank 30, you can go through another 30 Nightwave ranks to obtain additional Nightwave Creds—a currency used to purchase items previously found in Alerts such as alternate Warframe helmets, Orokin Catalysts and Reactors, Nitain Extract, and Aura Mods.
How Much XP Does It Take To Increase Your Nightwave Rank?
10,000 Nightwave XP. This value is static across all ranks.
Can You Trade Nightwave Items Between Players?
Not all of them. You can trade:
- Mods
- Arcanes
- Rivens
You cannot trade Nightwave Creds, resources, or cosmetics obtained from Nightwave.
Is There A Catch-Up Mechanic For Challenges/Acts?
Yes. Whenever you complete most of your weekly Acts, a previous week's Acts will become available—provided there's a previous set of Acts you missed. Theoretically, you could wait until the end of the Nightwave and complete hundreds of Acts to reach rank 30. However, some of the Acts are quite time-intensive and are tough to complete in a short timeframe.
How Long Does A Nightwave Season Last?
It varies. Major Nightwave releases or "series" are meant to last around 3 months, and intermissions are meant to last around 1 month. But Digital Extremes are notorious for extending them for weeks and even months—even intermissions. Keep an eye on the Warframe Forums and Devstreams to see when the current Nightwave will end.
You Mentioned Nora's Choice Is An Intermission. What's An Intermission?
Intermissions are Nightwaves that occur in-between larger Nightwave series. These seasons grant rewards from older Nightwaves that you might have missed, including cosmetic items and exclusive weapons like the Wolf Sledge from Season 1. They function just like a normal Nightwave without any new lore or mechanics added to the game.

Keep in mind that Nora's Chosen does have some unique rewards of its own, making this slightly different from previous intermissions.

What's A Nightmare Mission?
Nightmare Missions are level 30 variants of missions on the Star Chart with a detrimental modifier applied. These missions only appear on planets that have all of their nodes completed (Railjack excluded). Each planet has one Nightmare mission you can complete every eight hours. If you have full-cleared ten planets on the Star Chart, you can get this Elite Weekly challenge done in about an hour.
What's The Best Way To Complete An Exterminate Undetected?
Use Warframes that can turn invisible or put enemies to sleep. Good picks include Ivara, Equinox, and Octavia. If you're playing as Equinox, put enemies to sleep before killing them with a melee attack. For invisibility frames, just be sure you're using a silenced weapon.
