Slitherine and Black Lab Games have announced turn-based strategy RPG Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector.
As stated in the press release, the game is set after the Devastation of Baal during the Third Tyrannic War. Aid Sergeant Carleon and the Blood Angels in cleaning up the last of the Tyranid forces from Baal and one of its moons. Or play as the Tyranids in skirmish mode and devastate the Imperium and grow your forces.
Players fight across grid-based maps, develop their army, customize their units, and use over 60 abilities and 50 weapons. The game also features a momentum system to Surge a unit into multiple actions or gain upgrades, and command points to call in air-support. The game will feature live and asynchronous multiplayer, and local hotseat multiplayer.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector launches May 2021 on Windows PC (via Steam), and Summer 2021 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
