xQc Blames "Misreporting" For Latest Twitch Ban

xQc has lashed out at reports covering his latest Twitch ban, claiming they twist situations and cause irreparable damage to his reputation.

Popular streamer xQc briefly disappeared from Twitch last week thanks to yet another ban. The first for a month for xQc, but the fifth overall. Twitch is notoriously strict when it comes to enforcing its rules. So much so that the reason for many bans is never actually revealed. More than a year has passed since Dr Disrespect was slapped with a permanent ban from the platform and it's still a mystery as to why he isn't allowed back.

As for xQc's most recent Twitch ban, the streamer addressed it as soon as he returned. However, the reason for the ban remains unclear. In fact, whether it was a ban at all is now uncertain. “I'm not going to say why I was banned, why I was unbanned, it could have been anything,” xQc explains.

The streamer then adds, “it wasn't really a ban, it was kinda how it is.” xQc's reasoning for wanting to be vague surrounding his latest ban is so nothing gets twisted. He accuses “clickbait” sites of having caused irreparable damage in the past, citing that as the reason why he won't be going into more detail about his latest ban.

This latest Twitch ban for xQc only lasted a few hours. His previous bans have varied in length, ranging from a few hours all the way up to a full week. Although the streamer won't reveal the reason, his viewers have speculated that it came following footage of the Olympics being shown during his streams. Dexerto reports xQc has been dealing with other DMCA takedown issues when it comes to the Olympics being shown without permission during his streams.

Twitch is pretty hot on stuff like this, but won't want to dole out any more bands to xQc if it doesn't have to. Stream Hatchet named him one of 2020's most-watched streamers. It certainly won't want to give xQc the Dr Disrespect treatment. Speaking of Disrespect, he revealed last week via a job posting that he is starting his own game development studio. Disrespect will seek out the help of “mega influencers” to create triple-A games.
