The Legend of Zelda is a series filled with iconic designs – and equally iconic variations on said designs – so it's hardly a surprise that fans have been putting together cosplays of its cast for decades. One fan recently assembled a Twilight Princess Link cosplay that's game-accurate in more ways than one.
Like most of Link's outfits, his Twilight Princess design is simple and streamlined, featuring his usual green tunic, floppy green cap, white leggings, blond hair, and brown boots. What sets Twilight Princess Link apart from some of his other appearances – excluding Breath of the Wild, which brought its own design sensibility to the table – are the subtle details of his outfit. These range from leather armguards to holsters strapped to his back to the trim at the edges of his tunic. Redditor del_sylph has done an excellent job of capturing these small additions, which help ground Link's stylized design in the more subdued world of Twilight Princess.

The cosplayer has chosen to share two photos of her outfit in a post labelled "[TP][LoZ] What you think you look like when Zelda walks by vs what you actually look like (feat. my Link cosplay @del_sylph)." As one might expect, the first picture shows her dressed as Link and striding confidently through a dark and oppressive forest, accompanied by the tiny light of a fairy. The second picture shows her wearing a goofy smile and standing on one leg, apparently trying to flourish with her sword and stride forward at the same time. This isn't the first time a Legend of Zelda fan has cosplayed Twilight Princess Link, but it may be one of the most relatable cosplays out there.
Del_sylph is wearing the same outfit in both pictures, complete with Master Sword and Hylian Shield, so the very noticeable differences come from her mastery of body language, lighting, and choice of background. Although del_sylph clearly has a gift for comedy as well as cosplay, her work on this Link costume is very impressive. Not only has she intricately recreated each layer of Link's outfit, but she's found a way to make him recognizable in both a dramatic pose and a goofy one, which is an accomplishment for anyLegend of Zelda cosplayer.
As of writing, the cosplay appears to have been warmly received by other Legend of Zelda fans, many of whom complimented del_sylph on her incredible Legend of Zelda cosplay. One user challenged her to post a video of herself rolling around various environments, as Legend of Zelda players have been known to do in-game. She responded by jokingly saying that the video would also include her rolling into a wall.
