Netflix has a large selection of anime shows, and is a great platform to introduce fans to a new series. It may not have all of the seasons for every show, which can be a little frustrating. However, it can provide opportunities for anime fans to discover new series, and let viewers know if they want to invest their time in one.

In addition to old favorites, there are some anime shows that are exclusive to the platform. Netflix is regularly adding new and exclusive anime to their collection. With the upcoming Shaman King reboot coming soon, there are some shows that anime fans can watch to tide them over.
Ajin: Demi-Human
This anime follows student Kei Nagai, who learns that he is an Ajin after getting run over by a truck. Enter Satō, the leader of a pro-Ajin movement group. He may seem like a harmless old man, but his motives turn out to be more sinister than they appear. For anyone looking for an anime with themes similar to Death Note, this show is worth checking out. Kei isn't exactly a hero in the traditional sense. He will use anything and anyone to stop Satō, and gain his freedom from the government. Anytime the two of them are in the same area, the result is a battle of wits that leaves fans on their edge of their seats.
Violet Evergarden
A former child soldier, the titular character now works a ghostwriter. In doing so, she hopes not only to help others express how they feel, but to also help herself. Raised to be a emotionless soldier at a young age, Violet has trouble grasping basic human experiences and expressing her true feelings. Throughout the show, viewers watch her help others say how they feel, while she faces the same struggle along with flashbacks of her past It's an emotional rollercoaster, and anyone watching this should have tissues ready to catch their tears. It might look like any other romance anime, but it also has some nail-biting action scenes during Violet's flashbacks to her days as a soldier.
Devilman Crybaby
This grim, dark anime is not for the faint-hearted. Though it only features ten episodes, Devilman Crybaby packs a huge visual punch. This anime follows Akira Fudo, who is turned into a demon after other demons attack a nightclub. Akira manages to overpower the demon inside him ,and the two work together to keep humanity safe. His friend Ryo also helps him, but as the show goes on, Ryo's goals seem to clash with Akira's.

This anime has plenty of bloodshed and can rival other horror anime shows like Berserk, Another, and Corpse Party.For anyone wanting to watch this show, be prepared to see emotionally intense moments with tons of bloodshed and death.
Dota: Dragon's Blood
This anime will quench anime fans' thirst for fantasy as it's based on the video game, Dota 2. Davion is a Dragon Knight who bears has an intense hatred for dragons after the beasts slaughtered his family. Ironically, after killing Slyrak, an elder dragon, Davion's throat is slashed by the dragon as a final act. Slyrak and Davion's blood mingled, their souls merged, and Davion is reborn as the Dragon Knight. He travels the world with Princess Mirana, a moon princess, to stop a demon from killing dragons to steal their souls. For anyone looking for a classic fantasy anime with great fights, this anime is worth checking out.
High-Rise Invasion
This series that cuts right to the action not even five minutes into the first episode. High-Rise Invasion revolves around schoolgirl Yuki Honjō, who finds herself mysteriously transported to a strange world of skyscrapers and suspension bridges. Within this strange world, she has to run and fight for her against people wearing masks that want to kill her. Her older brother Rika has been transported here as well, and the siblings vow to find each other. Yuki doesn't get much time to sit and pout over her situation; she immediately starts fighting to the death against the people trying to kill her. Her innately sweet personality might fool viewers, but this girl is ready to fight for her life. Fast-paced yet easy to follow, High-Rise Invasion is an anime full of suspense and action that will keep viewers entertained.
Baki
For fans of Hajime no Ippo and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, this show is worth checking out. Baku Hanma is a talented and lethal fighter, the champion of an underground fighting tournament. He learns that five deadly convicts have escaped prison and are planning to challenge him for his title. It's a simple, no-frills storyline that mostly revolves around the fighters and their fighting styles while they fight each other. Players are in for a thrill.
Beastars
Beastars might look like it's a family-friendly anime with its furry cast of characters, but that's far from the case. Legoshi, a tall gray wolf, is trying to solve the murder of his classmate. Despite his intimidating appearance, Legoshi is a very docile and polite — but most herbivores still fear him. He faces some discrimination because he's a wolf, but accepts that this is his life. After a fateful meeting with his classmate Haru, a female dwarf rabbit, Legoshi fights between his natural instincts and his desire to rise above them.

At its heart, Beastars is great coming-of-age anime that has murder-mystery and fantasy elements. It looks a lot different than most anime. If viewers don't mind shows featuring anthropomorphic animals, an interesting and great show awaits them.
Little Witch Academia
Little Witch Academia is about a young girl named Atsuko, aka Akko, who enrolls at a school for witches even though she doesn't have a magical background. Though she struggles using magic, Akko is determined to show the world that magic is still a wonderful thing to have. She might not have the natural talent, but Akko has an artifact wielded by a famous and powerful witch to help her out. It's a great show with a compelling storyline, as well as fight scenes to entertain anyone wanting some action.
Kuromukuro
This mecha anime mixes classic tropes of the genre with some fantasy and futuristic elements. The story involves a young man named Kennosuke, a samurai from the Sengoku Period that was put into cryostasis in a mysterious cube. After a girl named Yukina accidentally wakes him up, the two of them work together to fight off aliens invading Earth. Though it's not a typical mecha anime, it's still a great one to watch if fans need a break from other mecha titles like the Gundam series or Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The Seven Deadly Sins
One of the best-known and most popular anime to come out on Netflix, The Seven Deadly Sins has something for everyone. It features a colorful cast of characters, great storylines in every arc, and the perfect blend of comedy, drama, and action. At the beginning, Princess Elizabeth Liones searches for the banished knights, the Seven Deadly Sins, to save her kingdom from the Holy Knights. Luckily, she manages to find the leader, Meliodas, and begs him to help her. He vows to help her find the rest of the Sins and save her kingdom. For anyone looking for a show to invest time in, this anime is it. There are plenty of story arcs to keep viewers from getting bored. What's more, he characters have many twists and turns, making some fans question if the good guys are truly good.
