Saber Interactive is back at it. After World War Z reached 15 million players worldwide, they are releasing World War Z: Aftermath later this year as an evolution from the last game.
World War Z: Aftermath shifts the tide of our survival struggle against the undead. Join up to three friends or play alone against hordes of ravenous zombies in intense story episodes. The game is set in new zombie-ravaged locations worldwide, including Rome, Vatican City, and Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula.
Lots of zombies
The game is powered by Saber Interactive’s new dynamic Swarm Engine so that players can enjoy 4K at 60 FPS on next-gen systems. In addition, the new Horde Option XL game mode – which is unique to PC, PlayStation5, and Xbox Series X|S – has hundreds of more zombies on screen than ever previously imaginable. Horde Mode XL will arrive in a free post-launch update.
In this new World War Z game, you’ll play as both new and existing characters as you take the battle to the undead with a savage new combat system, decimating zombies with unique techniques, perks, and dual-wield weapon options like the sickle and cleaver. Fend off new zombie monstrosities, such as swarms of flesh-hungry rats that will cause absolute devastation on your squad.
Aftermath contains all of the content included in World War Z: Game of the Year Edition, plus entire episodes from New York, Moscow, Marseille, and Tokyo. You may also get a heart-pounding new view with Aftermath‘s immersive first-person mode.
