The gritty and action-packed world of The Witcher seems like the perfect adventure to adapt for an augmented reality-style gameplay. But along with transcribing many familiar aspects from the world of The Continent into our own, The Witcher: Monster Slayer also brought several new things.

For those who’ve played The Witcher 3, these scrolls may look vaguely reminiscent of the treasure maps or the scavenger hunts leading to elite witcher gear. But upon closer inspection, they don’t look like any treasure map, and the various witcher gear is stocked as standard equipment in the in-game shop. However, these work a little differently.
Booster Scrolls
It turns out, these scrolls, or Boosters as they are collectively known in the game, are tools to help you play on a more stationary basis. Or — they at least marginally shorten your travels, as the quest-based nature of The Witcher: Monster Slayer requires a baseline commitment to exploring your surrounding neighborhood.
Booster | Effects | Duration | Price |
---|---|---|---|
Summoning Scroll | As you might imagine, this scroll summons five monsters. The summon is guaranteed to call four common monsters to your location with the chance of one rare spawn as well. | N/A | 200 |
Range Scroll | This scroll expands your interactable radius on the overworld by an additional 50% of its usual reach. This can help you nab ingredients and monsters just out of reach. | 30 Min | 80 |
Ingredients Scroll | Activating this scroll will double alchemy ingredient yields from slaying monsters and collecting plants growing in the overworld. | 30 Min | 120 |
Experience Scroll | Naturally, this is an experience booster and a quite powerful one too. It doubles all experience gain while active. | 30 Min | 120 |
