If you've been enjoying Mario Golf: Super Rush, you'll be happy to know that some free DLC has just been added. Nintendo has been doing this with quite a few of their games and it's awesome. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is another great example of this, several free updates have been added to the game and Nintendo has confirmed that this will continue to happen, we can certainly expect more content later this year.

This new update has definitely added some game-changing content to Mario Golf: Super Rush. On top of that, there are some quality of life improvements and some overall new content that will certainly give you a few more refreshing hours with the game.
What's New
So, let's get down to what really matters here. What exactly has been added to the game? Let's take a look.
New Playable Character
There's a new playable character and she's absolutely adorable. It's none other than Toadette! She's a great option if you struggle with low-control rating characters since she has the highest control out of all of them, however, she also has the lowest power to balance it out.
New Golf Course
If you're a Super Mario Odyssey fan, you'll be delighted to know that you get to experience New Donk City once again — it's now been added as a golf course. It's a short 18 hole course that you can enjoy, it has two difficulties, Amateur and Pro, which change the tees and greens completely.
New Game Mode
As if the rest wasn't already enough, we're also getting a new game mode called Ranked Match. Ranked Match is an online game mode. There is a global ranking and the goal is to get from C- to S+, this will depend on how many points you can accumulate each month based on the matches you play.

Each month all of it will reset your match points, rank, and global ranking but you still get the option to review your records whenever you wish. As a reward for getting a good ranking, if you reach A- or higher, you get to use a character with a special appearance. For example, this month, if you do this, you will be able to use Red Yoshi, Blue Yoshi, and Yellow Yoshi. It spices it up a little and you get to flex on your friends. Other Improvements
Other smaller improvements have been made. Motion controls have been adjusted so they work better. And, this one's a big one, Special Shots will finally pierce through tree foliage, making them much more worth it than before. If you want to look at this in detail, we recommend that you read through the patch notes for Ver. 2.0.0 of the game as you can get more technical information on all of these improvements.
