A new Gran Turismo 7 gameplay trailer has been released, giving racing fans a closer look at the sequel’s livery editor.
This is the latest in a series of behind the scenes videos being posted by Sony and Polyphony Digital on GT7’s long road to release.
Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, talks us through a brief history of liveries and how they have been used to cement memories of stand-out races.
Liveries, he says, are a medium of expression that will give Gran Turismo 7 players more ways to customise their collection of vehicles without getting under the hood.
In the new gameplay trailer, we see footage of the GT7 livery editor at work. Adopting the same stylish yet simplistic approach found throughout the PlayStation franchise, we see an easy-to-use colour picker. Polyphony’s aim, Yamauchi says, is to make this suite of tools even more accessible than in previous entries, wanting to expand on the million of liveries already created by the GT community.
Gran Turismo 7 is coming out for PS5 and PS4 on 4th March 2022, a surprise cross-generational release considering its original announcement – if you want to upgrade from PS4 to PS5, you’ll be able to pay the $10 difference to do so.
Sony have announced the pre-order items and a new 25th Anniversary Edition of the game in a bid to get spend even more cash. These are the pre-order exclusives:
