Nier Automata’s story is quite something once you get a holistic understanding of it after all the playthroughs. However, it seems that a newly discovered mod may have added a new twist to it. While 2B and 9S usually fought machines, the ‘Amogus’ mod turns the Small Stubby machines into the suspicious crew mates from Among Us.
You may think that this would look silly, but the developer took the effort to include the cel shading and create 3D models for the crewmates. As noted by PCGamesN, Developer MC has used original models created by ThatAverageJoe to add saw and shield wielding crew mates to Nier Automata.

Among Us kind of found its way to another game as well. Fortnite recently announced its Imposters game mode, which involves finding, you guessed it, imposters. The mode splits ten players into two teams. The first, comprising eight players, are tasked with maintaining the Imagined Order's HQ and weeding out the imposters. The second team, the two imposters, have to pose as the maintenance crew while quietly taking them out.
The one difference between Among Us and Imposters is that while the imposters in the former brutally murder the crewmates, Fortnite’s version tasks the imposters with pushing the crew into a rift.
The similarities are pretty evident in terms of the game mechanics and even the term ‘imposters’. While this may seem like a crossover or a collaboration between the two games, it’s not. The Among Us team took to social media to show how they felt about Fortnite’s new mode.
“It would've been really, really cool to collab… like game mechanics fine, those shouldn't be gatekept, but at the very least even different themes or terminology makes things more interesting,” tweeted Among Us community director, Victoria Tran. “It feels like a powerless 'lol what's the point anymore' of making our own stories/content.”
Innersloth's Adriel Wallick also showed their frustration by tweeting, “Everything in the world was already feeling insurmountable, so this was just another fun reminder of how tiny we all really are.”
Among other things recently added to Fortnite, Will Smith’s Bad Boys character Mike Lowery dropped into the game yesterday.
