Psychonauts 2 is finally a reality, and fans of the original are experiencing it firsthand. While the ending of Psychonauts 2 requires some explanation, the game is, by all accounts, very good.
Each part of Psychonauts 2 revolves around solving issues both in the real world and in the mindscapes of various characters. Like the first game, these problems are usually linked together, and an insurmountable real world problem can be solved by helping someone's mental state. This is, ultimately, the key to dealing with some insidious bees at one point in the game, but first players must find their source, so here's how to do that.

Follow the Honey
There will come a point in the game where the player needs to clear out a powerful device called the Astralathe at the behest of Ford Cruller, an old Psychonaut. Unfortunately, nature has somewhat taken over the Astralathe, swathing it in angry bees and thorny vines. The bees in particular are a problem, and players must find their source. Despite being one of 2021's finest 3D platformers, there's nothing too tricky on this one: just follow the honey.
One door in the Astralathe's chamber is coated in honey, and going through it reveals a pathway with even more honey. Keep following the path and eventually the source of the bees will be discovered: a massive beehive. So that's the source of the bees, but stopping them is significantly more complicated. Players must speak to Cassie O'Pia, who happens to be on site, since she has an encyclopedic knowledge of many things. However, she's having some mental trouble, so Raz will have to enter her mind and help her before she can tell him how to stop the bees. Like clearing Hollis' Classroom and Hotstreak, it's a whole level to find the solution.
Cassie's Mind
Cassie's mind is a library, and Raz is tasked with hunting down some of Cassie's personas that are hiding in its depths. These are different versions of Cassie that she has been over the years. Along the way, players can hunt down Emotional Baggage like in Loboto's Labyrinth.
Once players have halped Cassie sort out her personas (which involves a boss fight) she will give them the solution to getting rid of the bees: a smoker. The resulting smoke allows players to drive the bees away from the Astralathe. With that done players can progress the story or pursue side quests like finidng all the Psychoseismometers.
Psychonauts 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
