Halo Infinite Co-op Campaign Delayed Until At Least May

It’s Gonna (Hopefully) Be May

It has been a big week for Halo and Xbox. After the 20th Anniversary celebration, the surprise launch of Halo Infinite multiplayer, and the teaser for the Halo TV series, fans have quite a lot of hype to recover from, which is a good thing considering this news.

It will be a good, long while before gamers have squeezed all the content out of Halo Infinite multiplayer and the campaign, which will launch next month. If you are anxiously awaiting the chance to play the co-op campaign, you may want to brace yourself.

Halo Infinite

Head of Creative at 343 Industries, Joseph Staten says that we probably won’t be able to do that until at least May of 2022. When it was announced that the game would not launch with Forge mode or co-op campaign, the plan was to have co-op launch with season 2 and Forge with season 3.

That is still the plan, but those seasons have been pushed back. Season 1 was announced to be extended to May, which is when season 2 will start. Subsequently, season 3 will also be pushed back three more months. It likely will not be until August 2022 that players will be able to use both co-op campaign and Forge mode.

It’s not the perfect scenario, but there should be enough there to tide you over until more of the staples of the Halo games are implemented. Halo Infinite will be coming out on December 8th PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It will be on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Halo Infinite multiplayer is out now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Be sure to check out our preview of the campaign.
