New World Releases 3v3 Player Arenas In PTR Update
In September 2021, Amazon Game Studios released New World, its long awaited fantasy MMORPG. The game was highly anticipated and initially well received, however some fans felt it lacked content and there was other criticism. However, since then, the developers have continued to unveil and released content into the game to fix some of its issues. In the Public Test Realm, or PTR, the developers have released 3v3 Player Arenas along with other content. New World is currently available on PC via Amazon and Steam at a price of $49.99USD.
In this PTR Update, the developers wanted to introduce various new and exciting PVP activities and PVE fans can also expect some content such as new quests and more. Firstly, in 3v3 Player Arenas, players will engage in Best of five Matches with each round being two minutes long. If the round goes too long, players will be forced to fight as the circle closes. Additionally, players will now have access to two new currencies in the PVP Reward Track.
Besides this, players in PTR will have access to new Expedition Mutators, Varangian Knights Episode 2 and a host of changes to the game’s combat via tuning. The Expedition Mutators include overgrown, barbaric and fiendish, each having its own benefits to players.
The developers are utilizing the PTR for feedback prior to the update’s introduction into the game servers. Any player that owns the game can access the PTR.
