iPhone 14 Series Introduction
Yesterday late night, Apple officially announced the iPhone 14 Series phones, containing four models, namely iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This year, iPhone Mini was replaced with a larger Plus model.
In terms of size, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro both have 6.1-inch screens, while the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max both have 6.7-inch screens. The mini-series, which has not sold well, has been eliminated from the iPhone 14 family, but the iPhone 14 Plus model has been added.
In terms of choices, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions, and will be available in five colors – Blue, Purple, Midnight, Starlight, and Product Red.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions, and available in four color options – Deep Purple, Gold, Silver, and Space Black. Pricing as below:

As for the availability, the entire iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max will start booking at 5:30 PM IST on 9 September and officially go on sale on the 16th. While iPhone 14 Plus officially goes on sale on the 7 October.
In addition to the price, the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro family are also very different in terms of shape and configuration. The iPhone 14 body measures 146.7 × 71.5 × 7.8mm and weighs 172g; the iPhone 14 Plus body measures 160.8 × 78.1 × 7.8mm and weighs 203g.
Display, iPhone 14’s 6.1-inch screen resolution of 2532 × 1170p, PPI 460; iPhone 14 Plus 6.7-inch screen resolution of 2778 × 1284, PPI 458, both use the same bangs screen as the iPhone 13 family, support HDR, original color display, P3 wide color gamut and other features. Typical contrast ratio up to 2000000:1, typical maximum brightness 800 nits, HDR peak brightness up to 1200 nits, support IP68 level of protection.
iPhone 14/Plus processor is still A15 Bionic, the same as the iPhone 13 Pro Series, with a built-in 6-core CPU + 5-core GPU, and a 16-core neural network engine.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus camera is a dual 12-megapixel rear camera, including a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, both covered with sapphire glass, and a 12-megapixel front camera.
In short, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus do not have any significant upgrades in terms of configuration compared to iPhone 13, but the addition of the iPhone 14 Plus is a small surprise.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max upgrades are very sincere. iPhone 14 Pro measures 147.5 × 71.5 × 7.85mm and weighs 206g; iPhone 14 Pro Max measures 160.7 × 77.6 × 7.85mm and weighs 240g.
iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max display size remains the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Series, but the resolution is slightly different. iPhone 14 Pro has a screen resolution of 2556 × 1179 pixels, iPhone 14 Pro Max has a resolution of 2796 × 1290 pixels, and supports ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology up to 120Hz; typical maximum brightness is increased to 1,000 nits, HDR peak brightness is increased to 1,600 nits, and outdoor peak brightness is increased to 2,000 nits.
The most important thing is that the bangs screen that has been used since the iPhone X has finally changed to a “pill screen”, which is similar to the current mainstream perforated screen, except that the “hole” has become a “pill”. In terms of configuration, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max upgraded to the A16 Bionic processor, including a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU, also equipped with a 16-core neural network engine.
In terms of photography, iPhone 14 Pro models still use a triple rear camera solution, containing a new 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle, and a 12-megapixel triple telephoto lens; the 12-megapixel main camera that has been used for years has finally been upgraded to 48 megapixels, with the actual shooting effect worth waiting for, and the front camera is also 12 megapixels.
