Back 4 Blood is getting an open beta starting on August 5, 2021, that will be open to anyone who has pre-ordered the game.
There aren't many games out there right now which don't have a flock of dedicated fans hoping a series or a title gets remastered or, better yet, receives a sequel. Despite more than a decade having passed since the launch of Left 4 Dead 2, many are still waiting for that elusive third game in the series. Never say never, but at this point, it seems highly unlikely chapter three is ever going to come.
There is some good news for all you Left 4 Dead fans, though. Its creators have collaborated on and created an all-new apocalyptic, zombie-based first-person shooter. Back 4 Blood, which as its title and the team behind it suggest, will effectively be a spiritual successor to the Left 4 Dead games. Its launch isn't slated to take place until this October, but Back 4 Blood's open beta goes live next week.
