EA's community manager has warned players that are leaking Battlefield 2042 gameplay, telling them that it "won't end well for you".
Battlefield 2042 is currently going through its first technical test, which means that many players are getting to play the game for the first time. As you'd expect, this means that several of them are leaking the gameplay online, with EA struggling to keep up with the number of gameplay videos currently circulating the internet.

Although leaks are pretty common in gaming, the unprecedented number coming from the Battlefield 2042 technical test has prompted one member of EA to speak out about the consequences for breaking NDA and sharing gameplay from the test.
As reported by Kotaku, EA community manager Alan Freeman said, "Codes for Xbox have started to roll out, and if you're thinking about sharing them to a friend, don't – they won't work. You also don't want to share your account information with folks either, that's going to end badly for you. Super Badly."
Freeman continued, "You're under NDA for this Playtest, so Videos, Screenshots and Streaming from this Playtest result in Strikes on your channel. Break the rules, expect to lose access to both the Technical Playtest, future EA Tests, and potentially access to 2042 itself when it releases. We've already removed plenty of people from the Playtest in these past 48 hours, and they won't be able to play this weekend."
Many of the gameplay videos circulating online at the moment feature the details of whoever's playing on the screen alongside the gameplay, so it's pretty easy on EA's side to find out who's been leaking the footage and punish them.
An NDA is a legally binding agreement, so those who are found breaking it purposefully and sharing videos online are likely going to be punished pretty harshly, whether that be not being able to play the full game or further legal action from EA.
