Candace Parker, Kevin Durant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, And Dirk Nowitzk Are The Faces Of NBA 2k22

EA will celebrate the NBA's 75th anniversary with some of the sport's biggest stars. Athletes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant will be the focus of the premium Anniversary Edition cover. A special version of the standard edition will feature WNBA Champion, Candace Parker.

EA's latest series of art for its NBA 2K22 variants comes from artist Charly Palmer in his signature bright and colorful style. The game will feature three versions, but will sport different players depending upon which you purchase. In North America, Candace Parker will make her debut as a cover star for the game on the standard edition, while Japan's box art will feature the first Japanese player to make it to the NBA playoffs, Rui Hachimura.

NBA 2K22's editions are up for pre-order now, but some editions, like the Candance Parker cover, will only be available through retailers EB Games and GameStop. The 75th Anniversary edition is EA's premium version, available on all platforms and including all of the perks of the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle and standard edition on September 10.

Extremely proud and humbled to be the first female cover athlete in the history of @NBA2K
I’m honored to work with a company that’s investing in women and betting on us to succeed. I’m hopeful there will be many more badass females to follow ???? pic.twitter.com/WJan4YE7Qt

EA's basketball series isn't the only sports game with news this week, as the publisher all revealed FIFA 22's trailer with its new Hypermotion Technology. While the new tech is nice, FIFA 22 also announced it would launch on older platforms, but EA may be burning up its goodwill as the game will limit owners to activating the game once per system. It also isn't adding those fancy new Hypermotion features to PC, either.
