Cornfox & Bros. Offer First Screenshot of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm On Switch

Oceanhorn is an interesting take on the classic Legend of Zelda formula. Solve puzzles, explore dungeons, and not unlike The Wind Waker, sail across the ocean blue to see a variety of different islands. The first game was a mobile title that was eventually ported to Nintendo Switch. It’s a game we enjoyed, albeit with some reservations.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm started life as an Apple Arcade exclusive last year but is now transitioning to Switch this fall. While the original Oceanhorn was a remarkable feat given its mobile roots, Oceanhorn 2 is a far more ambitious title that takes full advantage of being on stronger hardware. Now, developer Cornfox & Bros. has given fans a look at the first, official screenshot of the game running on Switch.

If you head to this piece on the Unreal Engine website, Cornfox & Bros. delves into the technical hoops they’ve been leaping through to get the game optimized for Switch. Interestingly, Oceanhorn 2 was initially only running at 13 fps when it was first fired up on the console! Don’t fret though, as the game is anticipated upon release to hit 30 fps with a resolution of 720p in portable mode and 1080p docked.

There’s no firm release for Oceanhorn 2, but it’s looking to be an exciting title that Zelda and adventure fans aren’t going to want to miss out on. Will you be giving it a look? Tell us in the comments and on social media!
