Crysis 2 and 3 are getting the remaster treatment this Autumn, built from the PC versions of the game as opposed to the original Crysis' own remaster which stemmed from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ports.
As with the first remaster, it is being made in partnership with Saber Interactive but Crytek has more staff on-board to help keep the art style and vision in-tact, promising to ensure an authentic experience akin to the originals. However, with that being said, certain archaic elements are being gutted such as the orange hue overlay.

Digital Foundry took a trip to Crytek's Frankfurt HQ where they both interviewed the developers and got a glimpse of Crysis 2 Remastered running on PlayStation 5 at 1440p with a steady 60fps. It doesn't have ray-tracing or RTX support on consoles, but it will do on PC, so we don't get to see that in the video.
Digital Foundry also got to see Crysis 2 and 3's remasters running on Nintendo Switch where Crytek is aiming for a stable 30fps, understandably due to the hardware's limitations. We used to joke about 'can it run Crysis?' back in the 2000s and now its running on the modern DS equivalent – how times change.
While the video shows it running on PlayStation 5, Crysis 2 and 3's remasters will also launch on the previous generation of hardware meaning that you can pick it up on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
It does a lot more than implementing RTX on PC and removing a tint across the board, though. There's DX11 enhancements, texture resolution improvements thanks to 3D scans, real-time global illumination systems, screen-space reflections, detail enhancements, and more.
While the PlayStation 5 version is running at 1440p, it is expected to run at a higher resolution for Xbox Series X. You can pick it up this Autumn.
