Dungeons and Dragons is Partnering With NERDS Candy

New Dungeons and Dragons content is always exciting for players that follow the current 5th edition ruleset, but it comes in a variety of strange forms. While Wizards of the Coast will occasionally release a new book full of classes, archetypes, items, and the like, it doesn't happen that often. Instead, players get their fix of new things from playtest content such as the Unearthed Arcanas or often simply from each other. Thanks to a collaboration with NERDS candy, D&D players can now get a seven part adventure module featuring dungeon-delving NERDS characters.

Regarding why a collaboration between Dungeons and Dragons and NERDS makes sense, Joey Rath, Brand Manager for NERDS candy, says that "NERDS encourages everyone to celebrate how we're all better together, a philosophy shared with the legendary Dungeons & Dragons." This collaboration doesn't just benefit the company, though, as players will reap the rewards as well.

In order to gain access to the seven part Dungeons and Dragons module entitled Restoring Harmony, players must purchase NERDS Gummy Clusters or Rainbow NERDS Theater Box D&D packaging. After doing so, snap a picture of the receipt and upload it to nerdscandy.com/dnd to earn the first part of the module. For each receipt that players upload, they will get access to one more part of the module as well as a pregenerated character based on the six D&D themed NERDS characters. These are Curiosity, Creativity, Spontaneity, Deep Thinking, Logic, and Humor.

Each of these modules take about an hour to complete and are meant for a dungeon master and one player. That said, as players collect more NERDS characters by uploading their receipts, there's no reason that more players couldn't join in on the fun. By the end of the sixth adventure, all six NERDS characters will be level 3, ready to take on the final challenge of the Restoring Harmony module. The entire module is family friendly, making it a great choice for those wanting to get younger players involved in the game. It's also a great excuse to eat some candy while playing Dungeons and Dragons.

While these rewards are all guaranteed, there is also a sweepstakes that will run until December of this year. Players that enter the sweepstakes by uploading their receipts can have a chance to win a variety of D&D prizes, including the Starter Set, Essentials Kit, Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Master's Guide, and more.
